How to knit a simple loop on my own hand?
The winter is coming .I wanna knit a warm chunky scarf for my family .I found some easy to learn steps. It helped me a lot in practicing how to knit .
STEP1:cast-on
Using a 29"(or longer )needle, cast on the required number of stitches using the long-tail cast-on method .Move sitiches to the middle of the cable. STEP2:PULL OUT A LOOP
step2:PULL OUT A LOOPPull a loop of the cable from the center of the row of cast-on stitches.Pull the loop until it is about 6".Try to keep the stitches from twisting at this point. STEP3:ORIENT THE NEEDLES
step3:ORIENT THE NEEDLES Identify the end of row (the first cast-on stitch).push that side toward the lip of the needle.Position that needle in front of you ,and hold it in your left hand.Hold the other needle in your right hand.STEP4:BRGIN THE KNITTING
step4:BRGIN THE KNITTING To begin, insert the right needle into the first stitch on the left needle.Be careful that the yarn is not caught inside the loop.work to the end of the stithces on this needleSTEP5:TURN
step5:TURNGet to the starting position again-turn the work.push the stitches along the needles untill the next stitch is at the tip of the left needle, and the right needle is dangling.Hold the dangling needle in your right hand STEP6:Repeat 4&5
Repeat 4&5Continue to create a tube by repeating step 4&5.Resist the urge to pull the first or last stitch of the row very tight.Tight stitches will make it very difficult to move the needle
