Q: How do I wear a baseball hat the right way?

A: Baseball hats are really tricky for those of us who are more Opening Ceremony than opening day, but the recent influx of the sporty-chic look on the runway has inspired a lot of us to get physical, sort of. You've probably noticed baseball hats emerging on your favorite street style stars or in the J.Crew style guide. Not only do they instantly make a look feel casual cool, but they also mean that you don't have to do your hair, which is always a huge selling point for me.

The best way to wear a baseball hat is to make it into a fashion item. Why represent someone else's team when you can rep your own? Today I'm wearing a hat from Jennifer Chun. The hat has a 28 on it, which is coincidentally the day that I was born. It's the Day of the Winner, I swear. Look it up. The hat is white so it's a great accent item for any look. I paired it with a pleated skirt from Marc Jacobs, cropped sweater from Zara, trench coat from Michael Kors , white bag from Tory Burch, and my favorite flats from Tom Ford.
